Cook Job Description
Company: Texas Steakhouse & Saloon
Location: Lumberton NC 28358
Job Summary
The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food in accordance with established recipes and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a highvolume restaurant and be able to work in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and is visually appealing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory and ordering of food and supplies
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cook in a highvolume restaurant
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment
