JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental Services Evening Shift Supervisor at Brodstone Healthcare a Critical Access Hospital oversees and coordinates the environmental services operations during the evening shift. This role ensures the hospital maintains a clean safe and sanitary environment for patients visitors and staff in accordance with established policies procedures and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor leads a team of Environmental Services Technicians providing guidance training and support while managing workflow addressing concerns and ensuring efficient and effective cleaning and disinfection services. This position requires strong leadership organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control within the hospital. The hours of this position are from 4p 12a and does require time on call. This position is being offered a $500 signon bonus! EDUCATION: GED or High School Diploma (required) EXPERIENCE: Some experience in environmental services preferred. - Assist the EVS Director in the function of supervision training and evaluation of evening shift Environmental Services Technicians assigning tasks monitoring progress and addressing performance issues.
- Oversee and participate in cleaning and disinfecting hospital areas ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and procedures.
- Manage evening shift workflow prioritizing tasks adjusting schedules and ensuring adequate coverage including responding to urgent requests.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supply chemical and equipment inventory placing orders and ensuring proper storage.
- Ensure proper maintenance of cleaning equipment reporting malfunctions and coordinating repairs.
- Enforce infection control policies and procedures ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection techniques.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of cleaned areas providing feedback and implementing corrective actions.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures ensuring staff training and PPE utilization.
- Communicate effectively with other departments staff and visitors addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities equipment maintenance and other relevant information.
- Address and resolve issues or concerns during the evening shift escalating complex problems.
- Develop and maintain the evening shift schedule ensuring adequate coverage.
- Additional duties as assigned.
