This position serves as the department specialist regarding behavioral health services and supports for adults in specialty populations in the publicly funded behavioral health care network. This position is lead for adult mental health block grant funded initiatives related to specialty populations including older adults; deaf deafblind and hard of hearing (DDBHoH); and housing and homeless population initiatives. The position will be the lead for specialty population services and supports department policy rules regulations and contractual requirements as they relate to clinical services and supports. Clinical Consultation will also be provided to the Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs) and Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSPs) or other managers of public funds their contract agencies and units within MDHHS

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Bachelors degree in social work psychology counseling or other related human services field; Masters preferred.ExperienceFour years of professional experience including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11 level or one year equivalent to the advanced 12 level.
A minimum of four years professional experience in policy and program development grants management and program implementation related to behavioral health services including direct experience in providing services and supports to adults with serious mental illness substance use disorders and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.Additional Requirements and Information

The physical location of this position is 400 South Pine Street Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:- A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
- A highspeed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
- Suitable lighting furniture and utilities.
