Position Summary:
The Sourcing Manager owns the supplier relationship and is responsible for identifying evaluating and managing the supply base. Key responsibilities include inventory management analyzing costs developing a reliable supply base negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier KPIs including on time delivery and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet organizational goals in cost quality and delivery.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to establish strong and reliable relationships. Ensuring new and existing suppliers perform work consistent with Company standards price delivery and quality.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance including quality delivery and compliance.
- Develop and maintain longterm relationships with key suppliers.
- Resolve supplier disputes and ensure smooth operations.
- Drive cost savings initiatives through supplier negotiation contract management and process improvements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends risks and opportunities for cost reductions.
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with all legal and company requirements.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity.
- Own and manage the companys inventory onsite and at suppliers ensuring optimal stock levels to meet business needs.
- Ensure accurate and uptodate inventory records in the ERP system.
- Plan and execute annual physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during inventory audits.
- Identify develop and implement process improvements initiatives to enhance inventory control.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Operations Engineering and Quality to understand material and service needs.
- Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on sourcing initiatives and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Management Engineering or a related field.
- CPSM CSCP or similar certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in procurement supply chain or sourcing management in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation contract management and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results driven and detail oriented.
- Proficient in sourcing tools ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Travel required up to 30 of the time primarily local.
