Pathway Health is looking for an experienced RACCTA registered nurse (RN)who is interested in being anMDS Consultant.The MDS Consultant position is a flexible projectbased role that performs a wide range of professional consulting to our postacute and aging services clients. The MDS Consultant performs a full range of professional consulting assignments in a fullfunctioning capacity. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have a significant impact on services or programs. Our consultants are compensated on an hourly basis and may qualify for Pathways robust benefit package as well as incentives! Wage: $50 per hour DOQ andhours may vary from week to week and travel may be required. MDS Consultant Duties: - Assist the client with assessing planning developing and implementing systems processes and other needs as requested.
- Maintain current working knowledge of applicable state and federal standards regulations and industry standards of practice.
- Consults and provides technical or interim management assistance to nursing and health care providers as requested by the client.
- Identify training needs; plan and conduct training/inservices as requested.
- Attend applicable meetings in the facility as requested.
- Participate in the marketing of Pathway services in longterm care and senior housing communities.
- Provide written reports as requested in a timely manner.
- Function within scope of professional practice guidelines and all other disciplinary standards of practice.
- Maintain current licensure and certifications.
- Report to supervisor any potential areas of client vulnerability.
- Maintain client confidentiality and function within HIPAA regulations.
- Function within scope of work as defined on client specific project sheets.
- Provide weekly time sheets and expense reports individualized by client.
- Keep current on voice and email messages and respond promptly (within 24 hours).
- No Direct Patient Care.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- RN License.
- RACCTA certification through AAPACN (American Association of PostAcute Care Nursing) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of MDS experience.
- Must have 3 years of management skills.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and policies.
- Strategic planning skills are highly desired.
- Must have experience in longterm care.
- Strong customer service skills to coordinate service delivery including attention to clients sensitivity to issues and identification and resolution of issues to promote positive outcomes for clients; requires initiative innovation and creativity.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to make good decisions and exercise sound clinical professional judgment.
- Computer literacy to navigate through internal/external computer systems. Access to electronic communications.
