Are you a meticulous reconciliation accountant with a passion for asset management
A leading financial services company is seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Accountant with expertise in LISP and asset management. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fastpaced regulatorydriven environment and has a deep understanding of investment products portfolio management and reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile investment transactions including buy/sell trades dividend payments fund subscriptions/redemptions and corporate actions
- Ensure accurate portfolio valuation by reconciling asset classes such as equities bonds mutual funds derivatives and private equity
- Perform general ledger reconciliations prepare journal entries and assist with monthend and yearend closing processes
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies between internal records and external data sources
- Collaborate with finance operations and compliance teams to ensure seamless reconciliation processes
- Support audit processes by providing reconciled accounts and explanations for variances
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Proven experience in asset management fund accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP) and accounting software such as SAP or DARA
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex reconciliation discrepancies
- Ability to manage multiple reconciliations while adhering to strict reporting deadlines
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements within asset management
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA would be an advantage
