Under the general supervision of the Chief imaging Technologist and with the assistance of a physician theAdvanced Practice Sonographerperforms a more extensive range of diagnostic ultrasound and intervention procedures assists in the training and supervising of ultrasound Sonographers in clinical research studies and orients and educates medical staff in theory and applications of sonographic technology.
Knowledge:Requires a thorough knowledge of anatomy physiology and pathology as related to Obstetricalultrasound. Requires comprehensive knowledge of procedures and protocols followed in conducting ultrasound examinations.Knowledge and advanced skills in using all equipment in department.
Education:
Associates degree and successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic ultrasound.
Work Experience:
At least five 5 years of clinical experience in diagnostic obstetrical ultrasound.Current and active registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) in obstetrics and fetal echocardiography.Meets criteria for SDMS Advanced Practice Sonographer status

Current and active registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) in obstetrics and fetal
echocardiography. Certified in first trimester screening with the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF).
Working Conditions:
Salary Range: Minimum$44.61 per hour Maximum$73.66 per hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
