Job Summary:
The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences is seeking a fulltime Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) General Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will:
- Administer anesthesia through anesthetic techniques (general regional & sedation) to patients in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
- Participate in clinical operating room supervision and classroom teaching as well as conduct evaluations for residents and medical students as required by the department.
- Mentor students and residents in research and scholarly activities.
- Participate in administrative duties and oncall assignments as required by the department.
- Clinical service includes general operating room and ambulatory coverage; committed call are in 4week cycles 4calls per cycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor Degree.
- Successful completion of training in an ACGME accredited residency.
- New York State Medical Licensure.
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
- Subspecialty (if applicable).
