Weare currently looking for a highly motivated enthusiastic and experienced Director of Facilities and Procurement. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officerthis position works to ensure the smooth operation of the building thebuilding systems and the facility in support of the activities objectives andgoals of CCNM including daytoday operation as well as planning for thefuture requirements of the Toronto site. This position will also assist inmanaging the Facilities portion of the Boucher site. Additionally it involvesmanaging the Residence balancing the residents living requirements along withstriving for full occupancy and managing the Procurement function includingcollege wide contracts and the purchasing system.
Someof the responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Developscommunicates and administers building policies and procedures while ensuringcompliance with legislative requirements.
- Coordinatesspace development and reassignment projects plans for repairs renovationsand improvements and manages city planning and zoningrelated matters.
- Ensuresthe implementation of CCNMs health and safety awareness program overseessecurity services and liaises with emergency services.
- Overseesstrategic residence recruitment to maximize occupancy and collaborates with theResidence Coordinator on budget planning and student concerns.
- Overseesprocurement vendor negotiations large purchases and promotes environmentallyfriendly products while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
- Providesleadership to key managers and staff monitors service quality managesperformance and ensures a strong customerservice focus.
- Developsand updates departmental projects monitors progress secures resources andmanages the department budget including longterm financial planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Postsecondary designation in property managementor diploma/degree engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience inproperty management of a large site; supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated understanding of security HVACbuilding maintenance waste removal grounds maintenance and WHMIS
- Good understanding of realestate relatedregulations bylaws laws understanding of zoning process and the relatedprocesses and proceedings
- Understanding of environmentally sound principlesand practices used in building maintenance
- Experienceworking with MS Office applications (Word PowerPoint Access Outlook) inaddition to familiarity with a property management application
- Provenability to maintain organized information systems for projects and/ordepartment including records management
- Demonstrated leadership skills able to prioritizeassignments and assist more junior employees as required
- Extremelyorganized with a strong attention to detail and superior multitasking skills
