Job Description

CNC Recovery / PACU

Are you passionate about educating and mentoring those around you Are you an enthusiastic and experienced CNC looking for a new position

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse/CNC Recovery / PACUto join our Operating Theatre on a full time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

As the CNC Recovery / PACURole your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee safe quality care that meets current best practice standard
  • Support and liaise with the Perioperative Services Manager staff and VMO anaesthetist
  • Understanding of legislative requirements ACORN and sterilization standard
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management

With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds a rehabilitation gym 7 operating theatres 2 procedure rooms a day oncology unit and an ICU Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in a CN / Recovery / PACU role or been practising in the role of anaesthetic nurse for more than 34 years in a team leader role
  • Have completed relevant post graduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with NSQHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experience in similar position (desired)
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Services skills
  • Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks
