Job Description

SUMMARY

Immediate Opening YearRound ThreeSemester Position (Kenosha Campus)

Faculty members are instrumental in facilitating student learning and actively contributing to initiatives that promote academic success. As educators they continuously assess student learning outcomes and refine their instructional strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness.

This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Business and Transportation.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deliver curriculum monitor and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
  2. Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.
  3. Promote and engage in student recruitment retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.
  4. Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
  5. Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.
  6. Maintain certification continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.
INSTRUCTION PROGRAM SPECIFIC
  • Develop relationships with business and industry.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Automotivefield of study with 2 years 4000 hours of paid documentable occupational experience as an automotive technician
OR
  • 5 years 10000 hours)of paid documentable occupational experience as an automotive technician
AND
  • ASE Master Technician Or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • L1 CertificationOr ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
(please attach documentation of certifications at time of application)

*Included in the above experience at least 2000 hours of demonstrated relevant occupational experience must be within the last five years ORat least 2 years of fulltime 8 semesters of parttime) post secondary teaching experience in the occupational field must be within the last five years.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to work in a fast pace agile environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce and student population
  • Ability to use student learning management systems
  • Culturally competent including strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and build relationships with constituents and underrepresented communities.
