Office Manager & Delivery Coordinator

About Purposeful Design

At Purposeful Design we transform lives by providing meaningful employment to men overcoming homelessness addiction incarceration and broken relationships. Through our handcrafted furniture business we teach valuable woodworking and life skills while offering exposure to faith. As a sustainable nonprofit our commercial furniture sales generate 85 of our operating costs allowing us to continue rebuilding lives from hopelessness to promise.

Role Overview

Were looking for an Office Manager & Delivery Coordinator who will keep our operations running smoothly while helping fulfill our mission. This is an inperson position based at our Indianapolis facility. Youll report to both our VP of Production and CFO serving as a critical link between our customerfacing operations and internal administration. This role gives you the chance to directly support both our business operations and the men in our Transitional Employment Program. Youll be the person who ensures our beautiful furniture reaches its destination while helping maintain the supportive environment that makes our work possible.

What Youll Do

  • Coordinate Deliveries & Logistics
    • Plan and oversee furniture deliveries from project kickoff through installation
    • Conduct site visits to develop delivery plans and ensure smooth
    • Lead onsite for major installations and supervise our Delivery Lead
    • Handle warranty and repair requests with excellence
    • Coordinate fleet maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance
    • Online order fulfillment
  • Manage Office Operations
    • Oversee building maintenance security and facilities management
    • Maintain our showroom and office spaces to reflect our quality standards
    • Process invoices and assist with monthend accounting tasks
    • Keep our team supplied with the tools they need to succeed
  • Support Our Mission & People
    • Participate in our Transitional Employment Program helping men rebuild their lives
    • Assist with onboarding training coordination and HR recordkeeping
    • Live out our Others First value through mentoring and encouragement
    • Sales team support including event coordination samples and handling customer inquiries.

What Youll Bring

  • Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn our systems

Work Location

This position requires daily inperson presence at our Indianapolis facility. Regular onsite attendance is essential for coordinating deliveries managing office operations and supporting our mission through direct interaction with our team members and program participants.
