Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive fullservice logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract LOGCAP. KBRs enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contracts original prime contractor. Today we have a workforce of over 6000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
The Project Manager is directly responsible for all aspects of the effort at all sites and shall have the autonomy from the corporate headquarters to execute the effort unimpeded. Therefore the Project Manager must be highly qualified and possess extensive general supervisory maintenance management supply management transportation management and quality management experience. The PM is responsible for the review and timely submission of the classified Unit Status Reporting (USR) information. Additionally the PM must be highly familiar with be able to implement and manage an ISO quality management system program wide.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all phases of project planning and close out activities of a largesized project.
- Handle project setup and subcontracting strategy contract changes subcontractor relations and all required reporting.
- Plan organize coordinate and control projects in accordance with the established policies procedures systems and requirements approved by the company and LOGCAP Program.
- Professionally represent the program and KBR in the daytoday contact and communication with the client and customer.
- Be responsible for all LOGCAP services operations and equipment maintenance provided at the APS.
- Manage a workforce of less than 1000 direct hires and subcontracted employees.
- Provide clear directions to employees regarding compliance with company customer and local area of responsibility as well as standards of conduct.
- Instill a culture of continuous process improvement and high performance; and ensure that health morale and welfare requirements are met.
- Review and make recommendations concerning daily operations.
- Act to ensure the Program Management Office (PMO) has timely accurate and relevant information pertaining to projects activities.
- Build positive professional working relationships with internal and external entities.
- Supervise personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
- Maintain awareness of all operational issues and analyze operational performance and performance indicators affecting KBRs contractual performance supporting the APS mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education Experience Skills and Certifications)
- Must have an Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
- Requires a Bachelors Degree. A Masters Degree from an accredited College or University in Business Administration or Management is preferred.
- Must have at least 15 years of management experience in United States Army logistics operations with relevant experience at the brigade level or higher.
- Requires 15 years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience.
- Requires experience managing 500 employees.
- Advanced knowledge of military equipment maintenance programs to include equipment maintenance and component repair and return to operations is required.
- Must have experience with the applicable U.S. financial management systems and indepth knowledge of U.S. Army Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) Global Combat Service and Support Army (GCSSArmy) and U.S. Army readiness reporting (USR).
- Must be a highly organized selfstarter capable of working in a fastpaced multidisciplined team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve goals.
- Requires project management skills including forward thinking leadership accountability flexibility focus under pressure and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education Experience Skills and Certifications)
- Experience in military tactical and logistics related fields preferred.
