Position: Adult Career Center Teacher
Salary Rate: As per Salary Schedule
Reports to: Adult Director
Employment:
FLSA Status: Exempt
Retirement: STRS
Description: Teach the appropriate course of study by using a variety of instructional techniques that meet individual learning styles.

Essential Functions:
Promote good public relations by personal appearance attitude and conversation
Attend meetings and inservices as required
Recommend longterm adjustments changes additions and deletions in the careertechnical education program
Maintain working relationship with community and state agencies and area businesses industries and labor organizations in order to provide appropriate training
Ensure safety of students
Work to identify and define local job opportunities and the role of the schools in meeting these opportunities
Coordinate all work components
Interact in a positive manner with staff students parents and community
Maintain respect at all times for confidential information e.g. cumulative folders and IEPs
Make contacts with thepublic with tact and diplomacy
Responsible for the collection review and submission of all forms and reports relative to careertechnical education to appropriate state agencies
Assist in disciplinary procedures and actions and record keeping
Coordinate requests for repairs to lab equipment
Oversee the distribution and inventory control of all supplies and equipment used by vocational students
Maintain membership in and participatein the affairs of professional societies devoted to the advancement of vocational education
Assist in the recruitment of students
Establish an advisory committee
Coordinate the gathering selecting and analysis of data with respect to jobs available
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Able to acquire the appropriate certificate from the Ohio Dept. of Ed.
Ability to work effectively with others
