THE POSITION
Wellington (WMC) currently manages $524 billion in fixed income assets on behalf of our clients worldwide. The Leveraged Credit team manages approximately $37 billion in assets across its book of business spanning high yield bonds (Global and US) bank loans (including CLO collateral management) and convertibles. Within our Leveraged Credit team we are seeking an experienced Fixed Income Portfolio Manager (Bank Loans) in our Boston office to take on portfolio management responsibilities for our $5 billion bank loan book of business including dedicated bank loan client portfolios CLO collateral pools a 40 Act mutual fund and bank loan allocations within our multisector FI approaches. The ideal candidate will have experience managing institutional bank loan portfolios with a conservative bottomup style. The portfolio manager will also work within our broader Leveraged Credit team to help drive the expansion of our Leveraged Credit platform as a thought partner to the rest of the Leveraged Credit team and as an externally focused commercial presence interacting with clients across institutional and retail channels to drive sales. The portfolio manager will work with and be supported by other members of the Fixed Income team including credit research analysts risk managers traders product managers and our CLO management team.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess strong credit and quantitative portfolio management skills. The Portfolio Manager will have at least 10 years of demonstrated track record in an investment role successfully analyzing and investing in bank loans and prior experience managing CLOs.
Additional qualifications for the position are the following:
Ability to make investment decisions supported by rigorous analysis and communicated with conviction;
Established track record in bank loans and experience managing sizeable portfolios;
Ability to dynamically assess and analyze volatile or distressed credits; risk management experience is a plus;
Proven interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative teambased resultsoriented environment;
Humility and a strong desire to learn from and with other investors;
Strong presentation skills ability to communicate investment decisions and strategy to clients and colleagues;
Strong quantitative skills and willingness to embrace technology;
Ability and willingness to travel;
Commercial and growth mindset; and
Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record; MBA/CFA preferred.

This position will be based in Wellingtons Global Headquarters in Boston MA.
