Job Description

The University of Daytons College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for our Adjunct faculty inCriminal Justice Studies. We are seeking to create a pool of potential parttime instructors to fill instructional vacancies on an as needed basis. When a position is available qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

Successful applicants will develop and instruct undergraduate courses on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: introduction to criminal justice police and society corrections comparative criminal justice systems criminal law criminal investigations criminal procedure ethics research methods introduction to intelligence computer crime and special topics in criminal justice.

This position reports to the director of the Criminal Justice Studies program.

Minimum Qualifications:* Masters degree in criminal justice criminology or related field or Juris Doctorate Required.

Preferred Qualifications:* Doctorate Preferred.

Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level. Prior teaching experience in higher education. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively use technology to enhance student learning. Willingness to engage with Catholic and Marianist educational values.
