As an HR Coordinator youll be a key part of ensuring our team members have a smooth experience with payroll benefits recruiting and HR processes. Youll gain handson experience in multiple areas of HR while helping to create a supportive and engaging workplace. Responsibilities

Benefits Administration & Employee Support
  • Administer employee benefits including enrollments terminations and changes.
  • Assist employees with benefits questions claims and open enrollment.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA COBRA FMLA ADA and other regulations.
  • Process and track leaveofabsence requests (FMLA shortterm disability parental leave).
  • Assist with Professional Development Fund requests and tracking.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Support fullcycle recruiting by posting jobs reviewing resumes conducting initial interviews scheduling interviews and coordinating offer letters.
  • Partner with hiring managers to streamline the hiring process and improve candidate experience.
  • Onboard new hires by conducting day one HR onboarding facilitating paperwork benefits enrollment and firstday activities.
  • Assist with offboarding to ensure a smooth and positive transition for departing employees.
Payroll & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for salaries benefits taxes and deductions.
  • Process payroll updates for new hires terminations and pay changes.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wage laws and best practices.
  • Support audits and compliance reporting (EEO1 ACA W2 1095C).
  • Process intern and freelancer payroll.
  • Track and manage Paid Time Off (PTO) balances.
  • Support 401(k) administration including enrollments and terminations.
HR Operations & Culture Support
  • Serve as an employee resource answering HRrelated questions with clarity and consistency.
  • Maintain HRIS and employee records ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in engagement and retention initiatives to ensure team members feel connected and valued.
  • Handle employment verifications and assist with unemployment correspondence.
  • Support ongoing process improvements and HR projects that align with Hiebings peoplefirst culture.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 13 years of HR payroll or benefits administration experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems HRIS platforms and basic employment laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and HR data tracking.
  • Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • A proactive problemsolving mindset with a passion for improving HR processes.
  • A We Before Me attitudeteam player collaborator and culture champion.
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
