Job Description
Teledyne Microwave Solutions has over 50 years of experience in the design development and manufacture of sophisticated microwave/RF components and integrated assemblies for the most demanding challenges. Our products and capabilities are sought after by civilian and military organizations spanning numerous global markets including Aviation Communication Electronic Warfare (EW/ECM/CIED) Industrial Missile/UAV Radar Satcom Space and Test and Measurement. Teledyne Microwave Solutions invests heavily in research and development to maintain the ability to offer the worlds most advanced MW/RF capabilities for current and emerging challenges.
We would like a Quality Engineer to join our team in Mountain View. This position is fulltime onsite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the primary customerfacing team member for all Quality related issues: assessments and product failures returns technical issues process issues corrective actions; primary point of contact for customer surveys audits and site visits.
Verifies compliance to all performance specifications documentation requirements and customer expectations (per PO contract QClauses etc) review and approval of design documentation.
Verifies compliance to all DCMA requirements for product delivery; supports DCMA product / process audits as required; coordinates Customer Source Inspection (CSI) and/or Government Source Inspection (GSI) site visits as required per customer contracts.
Completes First Article Inspection (FAI) per customer contract and/ or source control drawing requirements. Works with various TMS teams to verify compliance and to resolve issues. Documents results in AS9102 format.
Leads the response to customer issues; ensure CAPA responses are thorough and completed as per the committed time frames; coordinates customer scorecard reviews and related followup activities; coordinates the organizations response to customer issued audit findings and corrective actions.
Reviews customer contracts and purchase order for requirements and potential issues including documentation unfunded deliverables (ex. CSI / FAI) exemptions outsourced processes; coordinates internal reviews and required to ensure proper flowdown to and by other departments.
Supports the organizations ISO9001 / AS9100 certification; reports key performance measures performance levels and trends at quarterly business reviews and other meetings as required; leads small teams through continual improvement efforts to address internal or external corrective actions.
Investigates product and/or processfocused quality concerns as required ensuring ontime response and implementation; reviews and approves recommended nonconformance dispositions; evaluates nonconformance trends for recommendations and improvements.
Supports the Design Development process with quality input to various phase review (PDR CDR TRR. and customer meetings.
Other duties projects and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field
35 years experience in process engineering or product quality assurance for electronics or mechanical product
35 years experience in an ISO9001 certified Quality Management System
Strong background using standard Quality tools / techniques 5 Whys Fault Tree Analysis process mapping)
Familiarity with MILSTD883 and MILPRF38534.
Prior experience delivering hardware for aerospace and/or defense programs is highly desired.
Experience within an AS9100certified organization a plus (including customer flowdown QClauses)
ASQ certifications (CQE CQA CSQP CRE) or other similar professional certifications a plus
Must be a US Citizen and able to attain Security Clearance.

$120300.00$160400.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including but not limited to location education/training work experience key skills and type of position.
