Job Summary

The eFIN Team is staffed with experienced engineers across a range of mechanical civil electrical and I&C disciplines and generally serves as the initial point of contact for all emergent and nearterm engineering support. This position can work independently to identify and perform tasks as required to meet objectives. The position will establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Extensive knowledge in Civil/Structural design engineering and the following areas of expertise: building and structures inspection dam inspection heavy load evaluations and rigging evaluations is essential to this role.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Protect work week schedule by supporting resolution of emergent short cycle and nearterm engineering work
• Engineering point of contact for of online work week schedule and resolution of online Engineering Holds
• Engineering support of Operability process (Input to Operability Prompt Operability Evaluations)
• Engineering post work testing
• Engineering technical support for PROMPT Team Maintenance
• Engineering technical support for resolving operating challenges
• Planning support for emergent questions and assistance to infield activities
• Emergent complex troubleshooting support (FMEA Confirm/Refute etc).
• Need to be physically able to perform walkdowns requiring use of stairs and ladders.
• Prepare Minor Design Modifications
• Identifies and performs task as required to meet objectives
• Lead interpretation and analysis of complex issues
• Coordinates assigned projects studies and initiatives through completion
• Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Prepare and present reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
• Participate in and on occasion lead special project and committees
• Lead complex problemsolving efforts
• All other duties as assigned.

Education Experience and Skill Requirements

• 4 yrs Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
• 6 yrs related job experience
• Extensive knowledge in Civil/Structural design engineering including building and structures inspection dam inspection heavy load evaluations and rigging evaluations.
• Experience with analysis of support structures and seismic qualification of equipment preferred.
• Proficient computer skills in standard Windows programs (Excel Word etc.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries
• Able to communicate complex issues effectively through written and verbal communication
• Able to influence by establishing effective working relationships across organizational boundaries
• Indepth understanding of power plant equipment and systems
• Able to evaluate technical alternatives in light of their economic contribution to the business
• Able to apply systematic problemsolving processes to address complex issues

Work Environment

• Occasional long irregular hours including work in excess of 12hour days for extended periods
• Seldom overnight travel
