Raytheon is seeking an Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) Specialist to provide interpretation advisement and administration of provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. Come grow your career at Raytheon!

We are seeking an energetic and customer focused ELR Specialist to join the Labor Relations team in Tucson AZ! This individual will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Labor Relations strategies that promote an ongoing positive work environment. Additionally the candidate of choice will support administration of the collective bargaining agreement support the grievance process lead employee investigations coach leaders manage new hire orientation and provide guidance on a wide range of HR inquiries. The successful candidate will support Tucsons Labor Relations team and report to the Associate Director of Labor Relations.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Labor Relations requirements processes and practices to ensure effective and compliance
  • Develop and provide training in all related areas to supervisors and managers
  • Manage intake preparation (including research and gathering supporting information) scheduling and electronic filing of grievances
  • Respond to leader and employee inquires on a wide range of HR matters including attendance FML availability and usage STD/LTD benefits (death life event open enrollment HSA 401k) and PTO
  • Develop and maintain an effective relationship with union officials
  • Manage (submit review approve and analyze) data changes
  • Represent leadership in discipline hearings including research gathering supporting information creating documentation and issue
  • Administer and track voluntary/involuntary exits including debrief
  • Respond to employee complaints and recommend resolution
  • Conduct employee investigations including maintaining confidentiality managing interviews/case file and recommending actions
  • Serve as advisor for leaders to facilitate achievement of objectives and improve performance and potential
  • Collaborate with operational teams and HR functional partners in support of represented employees and business operations
  • Establish programs and processes to facilitate creation of a positive work environment conduct site assessments/audits as required
  • Lead and participate in HR projects that support business and HR initiatives as required
  • Partner with operations leaders and union officials on issues including manpower alignment hiring promotions transfers and reductionsinforce
  • Prepare for and support contract negotiations

What You Will Learn

  • All aspects of Labor and Employee Relations you may not have experienced. This position works in a dynamic environment providing employee and labor relations support to bargaining unit employees and their leaders. complex issues and collaborative working styles to support operational objectives and promote a safe respectful and productive work environment.
  • You will work in a team environment supporting and being supported by other ELR professionals which will allow you to take in many decades of Labor Relations experience.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of experience
  • 2 years of labor relations experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting an organization with employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement
  • Experience managing the grievance process and responding to employee complaints or concerns
  • Experience supporting leadership training and development
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at all levels in the organization including executives
  • Strong presentation facilitation and communication skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment labor and compliance requirements

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collectivebargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual shortterm and/or longterm incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collectivebargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
