Job Description
Responsibilities:
Teach Science classes which could include:
Biology Physical Science Earth Sciences Physics and / or Chemistry
May teach some honors dual credit or Advancement Placement courses
Utilizes technology to impact student learning and increase communication
Demonstrates support for the mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School by attitude words actions and integrity
Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body in adherence to the Student Handbook
Serves with parents faculty and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
Possibility to sponsor coach or supervise extracurricular activities
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelors degree in related field
State teaching licensure/certificate is preferred but not a hiring prerequisite
Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail docs sheets etc) Google Classroom and RenWeb/FACTS is preferred
Understands the high school education culture and is able to interact professionally with students faculty and parents
Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations
Physical Demands and other requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding writing and reading
Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity
Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and actions
