SeniorManager of Training and Development

TheSenior Manager of Training and Development is responsible for designingimplementing and overseeing comprehensive training programs that enhance theskills and knowledge of CAVA Team Members across the enterprise. This roleinvolves collaborating with leadership to align training initiatives withorganizational goals and developing a culture of continuous learning andprofessional development.


What Youll Do:

StrategicDevelopment:

  • Developand execute a training and development strategy aligned with organizationalgoals.
  • Assesscurrent training needs and identify future learning requirements.

ProgramDesign and Implementation:

  • Createand implement a High Performing Team Program at the Manager level that addressesskill gaps and enhances employee performance.
  • Managethe High Performing Team Program.
  • Utilizea variety of training methods (e.g. elearning classroom training onthejobtraining) to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Designand implement career development programs that facilitate employee growth suchas mentorship coaching and training initiatives.
  • Organizeand lead workshops on topics related to our competencies.
  • Promoteavailable training and development resources to employees.
  • Partnerwith People and Culture leadership to align career development strategies withorganizational goals.
  • Communicateopportunities for advancement and development to all Team Members.

StakeholderEngagement:

  • Collaboratewith department heads to identify training needs and ensure alignment withdepartmental objectives.
  • Serveas a liaison between Team Members and management regarding traininginitiatives.

BudgetManagement:

  • Developand manage the training budget ensuring costeffective use of resources.
  • Evaluatetraining vendors and negotiate contracts as necessary.

Assessmentand Evaluation:

  • Establishmetrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Conductregular assessments and feedback sessions to refine and improve traininginitiatives.
  • Useassessments and feedback tools to identify employee strengths and areas fordevelopment.
  • Monitorand evaluate the effectiveness of career development initiatives and makeimprovements as needed.

Complianceand Best Practices:

  • Staycurrent with industry trends best practices and regulatory requirementsrelated to training and development.
  • Ensurethat training programs comply with legal and ethical standards.

CulturalDevelopment:

  • Promotea culture of continuous learning and professional development across theorganization.
  • ChampionHuman Connection initiatives within training programs.

CareerPathing:

  • Managethe Career Pathing Project. Collaborate with department leaders to create clearcareer progression pathways.
  • Conductoneonone consultations with Team Members to assess career goals interestsand skills.
  • Providepersonalized career advice and resources to help Team Members navigate theircareer paths.

TalentManagement:

  • Assistin identifying highpotential Team Members and support succession planningefforts.
  • Provideinsights and recommendations to leadership on talent retention strategies.

ResourceDevelopment:

  • Curateand maintain a library of career development resources including onlinecourses articles and external opportunities.
  • Stayupdated on industry trends and best practices in career development.

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in human resources Education Business Administration or a relatedfield; masters degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in training and development with atleast 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles andinstructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication presentation and people skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiativessimultaneously.
  • Familiaritywith learning management systems (LMS) and elearning tools.
  • Successfully manage multiple projects in a fastpacedenvironment
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring the high level of accuracy.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Success at executing plans project management follow updealing with ambiguity and adapting to rapid change.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and understand importance.
  • Success with multitasking and prioritize work with competingdeadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Abilityto maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and otheroffice equipment.
  • Mustbe able to identify analyze and assess details.
  • Forcertain positions must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to fiftypounds.
  • Abilityto communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.
  • Constantlypositions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food productionsupport or office operations as applicable.
  • Abilityto work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
