The Opportunity:
As the NWPB Education and Events Coordinator you will support Northwest Public Broadcastings (NWPB) Education and Community Engagement initiatives by administering bilingual/biliterate innovative education outreach efforts for children coordinating contentbased community events and developing a volunteer network. Your education goals will focus on administering NWPBs outreach program Explore Together/Exploremos Juntos for children ages 28. Utilizing a wide variety of resources including digital and multimedia you will creatively reach connect and support our communities in new and effective ways. Planning and managing inperson community events will be a significant duty for you. You will actively engage the communities we serve primarily in the TriCities area (Richland Pasco and Kennewick WA) and represent NWPB at events that are meaningful in those communities.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree OR equivalent education/experience.
Spanish language proficiency.
Minimum of one 1 year of experience in education early education or adjacent fields.
One 1 year organizing events and meetings including technology for remote and hybrid meetings.
Must have or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two plus 2 years of coordinator experience within a nonprofit organization.
Additional Information:
This is a fulltime 100 FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3643 to $4865 Range 42 Steps A to M Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.
