Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Scheduling Manager is responsible for overseeing the scheduling process from PreConstruction to Substantial Completion; providing ongoing training to schedulers and departments within PRE; continuously audit the schedulers deliverables for timeliness accuracy and alignment with company policies; and coaching schedulers on any needed corrections. The scheduling manager will have scheduling related contract exhibit review and approval responsibilities and shall interface with client counterparts as needed to support company or project discussions.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads scheduling team in developing and maintaining comprehensive EPC schedules for solar and battery energy storage projects across multiple states and ISO authorities for utility scale projects .
  • Ensures schedules are realistic accurate achievable and align with contractual obligations and project milestones.
  • Works with schedulers to identify potential delays risks and resource constraints and propose mitigation strategies to project teams.
  • Leads regular schedule reviews with project teams clients and subcontractors to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Responsible for reviewing redlining contractual scheduling requirements during preconstruction process and communicating contractual requirements to project teams.
  • Ensure project schedules are resource loaded and set up to track labor materials and equipment.
  • Works collaboratively with peer managers and other department managers or leads to develop and maintain both executive and interdepartment schedule reports.
  • Ongoing coordination with Cost Controls on weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Trains and mentors scheduling team to ensure continuous improvement of schedule quality and project outcomes.
  • Ensures assigned schedulers are monitoring project schedule performance and effectively communicating performance trends to project teams
  • Provides training on scheduling fundamentals to estimators procurement and operation teams as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with sister company(s) to manage project schedules in a common database.
  • Champion awareness of and need for accurate and timely schedule updates to all internal stakeholder groups.
  • Comanagement of Scheduling Team.
  • Assists with management of PREs Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM)Database and P6 Licenses.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A four 4 year degree or global equivalent in Construction Management Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Project Management. 7 years of experience developing and maintaining project schedules. Preference given for experience in Solar Renewable Energy Battery Energy Storage Systems or Power Generation.

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Preference is given for experience in Solar Renewable Energy Battery Energy Storage Systems or Power Generation.
  • A four 4 year degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated direct team management experience. 2 years preferred.
  • 7 years of experience developing and maintaining project schedules in a selfperformed and subcontract EPC environment.
  • Proficient in P6 and ability to train a variety experience levels on scheduling fundamentals and P6.
  • Expert knowledge of planning scheduling Earned Value Management Work Breakdown Structure Critical Path Method Risk Path Analysis Program Evaluation Review Technique and Time Impact Analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Solid understanding of weekly schedule update process and procedures.
  • Strong Excel experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to perform duties and adapt to changes in a fastmoving environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project is preferred but not required.
