Description

SBG a DSS Inc. company specializing in engineering information technology cybersecurity intelligence and training is looking for a hardworking resultsoriented Cybersecurity Engineer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude looking to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate for this position is a hardworking experienced individual who can excel in a very fastpaced government contractor environment.

Candidates must be located in or near Colorado Springs CO.***

Responsibilities:

  • Provides the government customer with MILSATCOM systems engineering advisory assistance including daily engineering consultation in support of sustainment activities.
  • Engages the Joint space warfighting community supporting sustainment tasks through established space systems engineering processes and procedures for requirements development technical solution generation (hardware and software) and fielding to space warfighters.
  • Evaluates and produces products of a technical nature using technical rigor adequacy completeness and appropriate application of the specialty engineering disciplines as standard process.
  • Assists with technology readiness assessments; identify risks and issues with proposed technologies while collaborating with other teams (i.e. Test & Evaluation Integrated Logistics Support etc).
  • Supports waiver deviation and deficiency reviews system allocations and compliance assessments.
  • Measure and report on technical performance metrics such as FMECA MTBF MTTR etc.
  • Conduct trend analysis and root cause analysis for various NC3 systems currently in operations & sustainment.
  • Conducts system/enterprise level engineering analysis to identify sustainment problem areas; provide impact analysis forecast potential failures and present options with potential to mitigate these problems.
  • Performs engineering analysis on organizational technical processes; suggests process improvements that increase efficiency and/or effectiveness of operations as required.
  • Supports formulation of relevant information of sustainment objectives and performs engineering analysis and systemlevel assessments for decision support at various meetings and sustainment forums.
  • Perform studies and analyses of military air surface maritime space and cyberspace missions to assess integration systemofsystems factors system vulnerability and survivability system commonality new technologies enhancements commercialization cost effectiveness and mission assurance.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelors degree in engineering mathematics physics computer science or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 5 years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships.
  • 4 years of experience working in a highly competitive multicontractor environment.
  • 5 years of experience in architecture/requirements definition/analysis acquisitions engineering/design fielding/integration and verification or analysis.
  • 4 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
  • 4 years of relevant systems integration experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience engaging government customers to advance projects and initiatives at varying degrees of complexity through engineering management
  • Must be able to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts
  • Expertise with requirements development and analysis and the development of systems engineeringrelated documents including requirements/specifications interface control documents and validation & verification plans
  • Solid analytical and problemsolving skills; able to sort through complex issues and develop clear solutions provide indepth technical assessments and identify issues and risks
  • Effective interpersonal and team player skills in order to engage at both the peer and management levels
  • Ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoD agencies to commercial industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint Project)
  • Clear and concise written verbal communications and presentation skills; able to clearly articulate ideas recommendations and options to the customer
  • Highly organized individual capable of handling multiple competing priorities; able to multitask prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a dynamic environment

Desired:

  • 6 years of experience in a DoD program office with understanding of DoD acquisition processes and compliance with government instructions; especially prior military/civilian experience working with space systems
  • 6 years of experience working with strategic & tactical MILSATCOM space systems (spacecraft uplinks/downlinks command & control networks and/or user communities)
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering (DE) or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applications (i.e. SparxEA Cameo etc)
  • Current International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certification (i.e. ASEP CSEP)
  • Knowledge of Agile software development processes and applications (i.e. Jira/Confluence)
