LongTerm Substitute Position Visual Art High School Level
Position Details: starting April 7. 2025 through the end of the 24/25 school year
Qualifications:
- Licensed to teach high school art in Massachusetts
REPORTS TO: Principal Assistant Principal and/or Visual Art Department Chair
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
- Course load includes AP art advanced general art ceramics and sculpture classes.
- Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Assess the accomplishments of students regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Effectively collaborate with department and gradelevel teachers.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by state statutes school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.
- Other duties as needed
