Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Cleanroom: no hair products jewelry makeup nail polish perfume exposed piercings facial hair etc... allowed Cold Room/Freezers 22degreesF/6degrees C Fluctuating Temps hot/cold Laboratory Setting Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery) No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided Office Rapid flashing lights Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses gowning gloves lab coat ear plugs etc. Standing for full shift Strong Odors (chemical lubricants biological products etc. Various outside weather conditions Warehouse Will work with hazardous/toxic materials Working at heights

Job Description

Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician 4 (Electrical)

Location: St. Louis MO / Drug Substance Division

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift 2:00PM 10:30PM)

Position Summary:Join Thermo Fisher Scientific and be part of a team that makes a global impact. As a Building Maintenance Technician 4 (Electrical) you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our facilitys mechanical and electrical systems. You will provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency and ensure product safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations preventive maintenance and repairs on building and mechanical equipment using electrical and mechanical trade skills.
  • Resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement programs and participate in plant problemsolving teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical/electronic repairs 10 years preferred).
  • Expertise with Allen Bradley PLCs welding mechanical systems and highpressure gas systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation AC/DC motor drives gearboxes hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment communicate effectively and lift up to 50 lbs.
