Job Description

The Choir Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of their concerts throughout the year. This is a parttime position. Available to either Classified or Certified.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for running at least 2 musical concerts throughout the year. a. Planning & executing musical concerts in the fall winter and spring. b. Communicating with parents & staff on a regular basis. c. Effectively managing students safety and discipline.
  2. Encourage parents to donate tax dollars to the music program and use these fiscal resources responsibly.
  3. Organize busing and building scheduling for practices or performnances.
  4. Obtain approval from administration for each event scheduling dates and times.
  5. Notify office staff and teachers of all practices and performances and students you will need for these events at least 1 month in advance.
  6. Create a program for guests at each concert.
  7. Make a plan for managing student behavior during concerts.
  8. Keeping all concerts under 1 hour.

Qualifications for Choir Coordinator

  1. Excellent classroom management skills
  2. Able to create a positive environment
  3. Organized
  4. Knowledgeable as it pertains to the focus of music
  5. Experience teaching large group of students
  6. Able to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
