This position as a special educator is assigned as anessential skills community focused middle/high school position. A demonstrated commitmentto collaboration with all school staff and families is required.Qualified candidates will document a strong work ethic excellent written and verbalcommunication skills and proven instructionalskills. Remedial literacy and math instruction curriculum planning trauma informed practicescase management experience within studentcentered practices are highly desirable traits.Experience with collaboration with teaching staff support staff and community agencies is aplus.Qualifications:Special education teacher licensure through grades 12 or any middle school/high school teacherlicensure with experience teaching within special education classrooms/programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work as member of multidisciplinary team for determining eligibility for specialeducation services IEP development consultation services and service delivery models. Assure compliance with established state and federal laws regulations policies andprocedures. Create appropriate individualized goals objectives and transition plans with an IEPteam. Prepare written reports (e.g. progress notes data tracking) and present findings atteam meetings as needed. Utilize instructional and community based experiences that are appropriate for eachstudents age developmental level and goals.
