Position Overview:

About The Role:

  • Strategic Growth and Trend Adaptation: Support longterm growth strategies for the assigned category while adapting to evolving market trends consumer behaviors and emerging sustainability demands. Focus on ecofriendly inclusive and ethically sourced product lines to meet market and consumer needs.
  • DataDriven Assortment Planning: Partner with the Planning department to create and refine assortments that are responsive to realtime data. Leverage analytics including digital and social media insights to craft assortments that cater to omnichannel retail environments and enhance the customer experience.
  • ConsumerCentric Insights: Utilize advanced knowledge of the Canada Goose consumer analyzing purchase behavior regional preferences and cultural influences to drive assortment decisions. Stay updated on competitor strategies market trends and influencer collaborations to stay ahead in the market.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work crossfunctionally with design planning retail and digital teams to ensure seamless of product assortments. Provide clear direction on product needs and trends to the design team via detailed product briefs.
  • Innovation and Digital Integration: Focus on integrating new digital tools technologies and ecommerce insights to enhance product assortment and forecasting. Lead initiatives around the integration of AIdriven demand forecasting augmented reality (AR) for product tryons or virtual product experiences to support omnichannel success.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability by identifying opportunities for ecoconscious product development and sourcing. Align with the broader corporate sustainability goals and ensure that new products meet these standards without compromising performance or style.
  • Market Analysis & Sales Optimization: Regularly analyze sales and trend data across regions and channels to identify key opportunities for growth and improvement. Present actionable insights to the team to optimize product mix and sales strategies.
  • Brand Integrity & Product Excellence: Uphold brand integrity by ensuring that all assortments adhere to Canada Gooses values performance standards and premium product positioning.
  • CrossFunctional Leadership: Lead projects that require coordination across departments. Ensure timely manage deadlines and adapt strategies when changes arise especially in light of the rapidly evolving retail landscape.
  • Tools & Technology Proficiency: Keep all assortment planning tools such as PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and systems up to date. Master the use of software and data analytics tools for more effective decisionmaking and reporting.

About You:

  • University degree preferably in Business Fashion Merchandising or a related field.
  • 510 years of experience in merchandising with an emphasis on outdoor fashion luxury apparel or performance wear.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both digital and physical assortments with a focus on innovation customer experience and market trends.
  • Experience in utilizing advanced tools and software (PLM data analytics platforms etc. to optimize assortments and forecasting.
  • Training in retail math strategic planning and competitive analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge Skills and Attributes:
  • Consumer & Market Focused: Indepth knowledge of the evolving outdoor fashion consumer especially regarding sustainability trends inclusivity and performance innovation.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Ability to foster collaboration across teams and drive projects with crossfunctional partners ensuring that all voices are heard and strategies align with overall goals.
  • DataDriven Decision Making: Strong ability to analyze data from multiple sources including digital and physical retail and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Agility & Innovation: Ability to work in a fastpaced evolving market with an open mind for experimenting with new concepts technologies and business models.
  • TrendForward Thinking: Deep understanding of trends influencers and cultural shifts with a focus on sustainability diversity and the modern consumers needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written oral and presentation communication skills to clearly share ideas updates and strategies across departments.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working with changing timelines evolving business priorities and new challenges maintaining a positive and solutionsoriented mindset.
