Publicly traded global OEM manufacturer with their US headquarters in Southern California is looking for a Director of Finance to join their diverse team in Torrance! The Director of Finance will be responsible for building and managing the FP&A function that will support overall planning monitoring evaluation and reporting of the Companys financial performance to Company Executive leadership and stakeholders. This involves working closely with accounting and operations colleagues in developing and managing financial analysis procedures as well as identifying and prioritizing recommended actions. In addition the role conducts financial analysis modeling forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. The Director of Finance will develop and prepare executive reporting packages metricdriven financial models used to forecast and evaluate Company profitability and perform additional analysis as requested. Must be comfortable working as both hands on individual contributor and as a leader.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and other information for strategic and corporate financial planning and analysis
  • manage the preparation review and management of departmental administrative operating budgets
  • Interact proactively and collaboratively with executive leadership accounting and operations teams on a regular basis
  • Continuously develop tools/systems and automate processes; manage the implementation of a reporting budgeting/forecasting solution to streamline the forecasting and budgeting processes and provide enhanced reporting functionality
  • Manage annual planning and budgeting process Companywide (all divisions) including establishing budget and operating benchmarks to assist in preparation of monthly / annual forecasts
  • Coordinate prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual rolling forecasts and prepare reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results including additional adhoc analysis on results
  • Build clear accurate and reliable predictive forecast modeling for multiple functional areas utilizing understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information
  • Review historical data predict future results analyze and explain budget variances
  • Prepare and review various type of analysis that help provide insights for investment capex sourcing cost reduction and strategic business decisions
  • Analyze debt / leverage bank reporting / covenant compliance and evaluate financings
  • Review operations for costsavings opportunities and work crossfunctionally to incorporate these initiatives
  • Identify key data sources and utilize datadriven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions
  • Maintain awareness of proper internal controls and make recommendations for any deficiencies
  • Perform quantitative analysis required for strategic planning special projects and reports for management and communicate results to management team
  • Protect the organizations value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • Prepare other reports and participate in other special projects as requested

For consideration candidates must possess the following:

  • Original Equipment Manufacturing or Vehicle manufacturing experience is required
  • Bachelors degree with at least 710 years in a similar Finance role with business partnering experience
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highimpact finance roles with a proven track record of driving business results
  • You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in working with the business to drive performance and generate value
  • We expect you to have an analytic mindset being able to zoom in on the relevant details while never losing sight of the big picture
  • You are a relationshiporiented team player with strong communication skills enabling you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders

This is an OnSite role (Torrance). Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

Compensation up to $220000 bonus RSUs a very generous benefit plan
