Job Description
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our clients dynamic team based in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with a focus on designing analysing and overseeing construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs and layouts for structures ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings specifications and reports.
- Collaborate with architects contractors and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements into overall project plans.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and resolve structural design issues promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends technologies and best practices in structural engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional registration with ECSA is required.
- Minimum of 510 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000 ETABS or STAAD.Pro.
- Strong understanding of construction methods materials and legal regulations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
