Job Description
Lifesteps a local nonprofit agency is seeking a fulltime Family Support Specialist(FSS) based in Beaver PA. The Family Support Specialist will coordinate enrollment and provide services to mothers referred by Children and Youth Services (CYS) in Beaver County. This position will review and update Plan of Safe Care in collaboration with the mother; assess infants safety and monitor infant developmental stages; and offer guidance training and referrals to parents as appropriate in order to achieve positive support outcomes for each family receiving services.
This is a fulltime Monday through Friday position 8:00am 4:30pm. Days & hours may vary based on program need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field and two 2 years working in a Human Services profession
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate information to a diverse audience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Current drivers license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
Preferred:
Knowledge of child development trauma informed care drug or alcohol counseling or infant care
Experience with family units in homebased setting
