Caterpillars Resource Industries Electrification Solutions (RIES) team is developing key technologies to help our customers build a better more sustainable world! Our products will help shape the future of electrified mine sites around the world. As DET Integration Engineer you can be a part of that journey with us by providing worldclass product development of innovative solutions such as CatDynamic Energy Transfer (DET).
CatDynamic Energy Transfer (DET) is a fully Caterpillardeveloped system that can transfer energy to both dieselelectric and batteryelectric large mining trucks while they are working around a mine site. It can also charge a machines batteries while operating with increased speed on grade improving operational efficiency and machine uptime. The innovative Cat DET system provides the industry with options to support both nearterm and longterm sustainability strategies. You will have a pivotal role to work with Caterpillar team members in a critical and fastpaced product development function to deliver solutions that make our customers successful with sustainable site solutions.
The DET Integration Engineer will be responsible for communicating system interface requirements and timelines to the design teams to ensure system designs are completed in time to meet the program timelines as well as performing detailed design work on both electrical and mechanical systems. This role is part of a highpaced highperforming team working to mature productionready designs at a system level.
What you will do:
Developing functional product development plans including requirements decision A3s design concepting detailed design CPPD efforts FMEA validation planning and technical reports.
Organizing coordinating and executing the building testing and analysis of design iterations.
Participating in buybuild analysis for product components and support value chain development efforts.
Participating in customer support through rapid resolution to field issues.
Degree Requirement: Bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering (mechanical or electrical) Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum.

Performs manipulations on design objects such as changing projections and managing drawing layers.
Directs the matrix computations performed to transform objects in coordinate space.
Consults on benefits and drawbacks of topdown design vs. bottomup design.
Compares and contrasts uses of birdseye views and wormseye views.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work fulltime at the Tucson AZ office.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 25 travel.

Summary Pay Range:
