Job Summary:
- Assistant Professor of Trombone (TenureTrack).
Work Performed:
- Teaching Trombone at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Actively recruit trombone students.
- Maintain active program of creative and intellectual contributions.
- Serve along other faculty in the Brass Quintet.
- Teach related courses as needed to meet faculty load requirements.
- Serve as requested on school college and university committees and in leadership positions in community and professional organizations.
Necessary Qualifications:
- The qualified candidate will have a Doctorate (DMA EdD or PhD) in Trombone.
- Evidence of the ability to creatively engage students in the studio and the classroom.
- The candidate will demonstrate professionallevel performance artistry as a soloist as a chamber musician and as a symphonic player.
- Qualified applicants will show the ability to team effectively with the other brass faculty.
- Ability to teach a variety of trombone and brassrelated subjects including graduatelevel courses in brass pedagogy and other courses in music.
- Active participation in professional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two years of previous collegelevel teaching.
