- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Sumter SC
- Full Time Permanent Position
- Hours of Operation: 8:00AM6:00PM (Schedule must be set within these hours)

Responsibilities
- Psych Inpatient care rounding and new patient admissions
- Coordination of care with attendings consults referral sources and hospital staff
- Assess and manage inpatient census
- Perform physical exams obtain complete medical history and record findings
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures
- Interpret and integrate data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan
- Order/administer medication and injections as deemed medically necessary
- Instruct patient/family regarding medications post admission care and treatments
- Educate patients regarding health and illness prevention
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute needs of patients
Requirements
- Valid South Carolina Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- DEA License
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- BLS and ACLS Certified
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess traits of punctuality organizational skills and ability to function within a team.
