Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist and create designs to develop structural parts and installations and mechanical systems and components for FAA STCs and PMAs.
Under direct supervision design perform testing troubleshooting and validation for assigned parts and projects.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to meet project milestones and requirements.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Participate and support the integration of assigned parts and products into larger projects.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on system improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering and a minimum of 4 Years of Experience as a design engineer or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering supply chain operations and program management.
Keen sense of ownership and urgency.
Experience with aerospace mechanical design and analysis including engineering tolerances and GD&T.
Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling of detail parts assemblies and installations in SolidWorks.
Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Commitment to ongoing learning and adapting to innovative technologies and methodologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements.
May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
