POSITION SUMMARY: Performs scheduled and nonroutine maintenance daily inspections major repairs and overhaul of aviation ground support equipment (including aircraft tow tractors generators forklifts crane high reach machines company vehicles golf cars aircraft electrical and hydraulic power units hydraulic aircraft jacks work stands welding and fabrication. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTS TO: Assigned Supervisor
SUPERVISES: Nonsupervisory role
HUMAN INTERACTION/COMMUNICATION: In performing the job an individual in this position experiences significant interface with his or her immediate supervisor other managers and supervisors lead workers other employees and contract workers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum four 4 years of relevant experience providing knowledge of related work techniques equipment terminology parts labor tasks and processes.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required.
OTHER: A valid Florida Drivers License is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Individual will perform daily transactions within Flightstars ERP system (AMROS) as well as various equipment maintenance logs.
SAFETY: Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices. Adhere to Flightstars SMS safety culture.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts and carries hand tools parts and work materials; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping kneeling or squatting. Works with approved cleaning materials cleaning equipment and cleaning solvents.
MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCE: Performance is measured by the degree of success in performing the essential functions of the job. Annual performance evaluations are given upon periodic review and input from the Manager.
