Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for a Production Technician to join our Colorado Springs Team!
The primary duty of the Production Technician I is to assist in leading the Production Area to successful achievement of safety quality cost delivery and team goals. The Production Technician is the technical expert in the Production Assembly area and may assist with developing new manufacturing processes as well as collaborating with Engineering to implement improvements for existing manufacturing processes. This position may assist in overseeing and directing the activities of some Assembly personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES (other duties may be assigned):
- Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
- Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMTs Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMTs Quality Manual.
- Works with the Engineering staff to assist with prototype assembly builds troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Documents assembly and test methods.
- Works with engineers to develop assembly and alignment methods for complex medical device assemblies and subassemblies.
- Contributes technical expertise in the development and implementation of new processes.
- Organizes coordinates and executes building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Assists project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Communicates project status to engineers.
- Manages label printing process for production area.
- Assists in the assembly of medical devices.
- Maintains a safe work environment meeting company safety policies and all regulatory requirements.
- Works with Manufacturing Manager Assembly Supervisor and Leads to coordinate work and provide training and instruction to Production employees.
- Regular attendance is required.
REQUIREMENTS:- Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Experience in a regulated environment such as ISO and FDA QSR
- Associatedegree (A.S. or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience in a technician position.
- Or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a technician position.
- Or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a Production position with a history of learning and increased responsibilities.
- IPC training is preferred.
- Ability to use common hand tools and measurement tools including torque wrenches wire strippers calipers micrometer pin gauges.
- Previous wire/cable termination soldering crimping adhesive bonding experience is required.
- Previous electrical testing experience including continuity resistance hipot testing is required.
- Previous experience designing fixtures or tooling is preferred.
The established Compensation for this position will be $18.00 to $23.00 per hour (paid on a weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience..
