What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the range extender generator and inverter subsystem meets program targets for packaging cost mass and timing for the skateboard platform underpinning the Scout pickup and SUV.
  • Represent Scout Powertrain Engineering as technical liaison between engineering services contractors and Tier 1 suppliers of the range extender generator and inverter subsystem.
  • Release 3D CAD and 2D drawings for the range extender generator and inverter assembly into Scout PLM systems.
  • Collaborate with Powertrain Development & Validation colleagues to ensure that the range extender generator and inverter subsystem achieves technical requirements.
  • Manage implementation of engineering changes as needed throughout development and postlaunch.
  • Manage delivery of prototype hardware builds with Tier 1 suppliers to support ontime prototype testing and vehicle builds.
  • Develop documentation necessary to scope work products for external engineering partners as needed.
  • Be a part of the vision of engineering excellence and a source of powertrain knowledge.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi Michigan.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance at inperson meetings and eventsregularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. (required)
  • Strong Powertrain technical fundamentals particularly for trucks and SUVs (required)
  • 8 years of experience with design release of emachines generators and/or traction power inverter systems. (required)
  • Proven ability to work in a crossfunctional environment with colleagues from vehicle integration concept team purchasing manufacturing etc. (required)
  • Experience managing development of emachines generators and traction power inverters through all phases of development and production. (required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including accountability selfmotivation problem solving analytical thinking succinct communication and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships. (required)
  • Experience with generator and inverter systems used in gasoline range extender applications (preferred)

Pay Transparency

This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $140000 $160000

Internal leveling code: IC8
