Welfare Assistant
Dorin Park School Upton Chester
Grade 3 SCP 2 4 (Hourly Rate 12.6012.65 pending review)
5 days per week 30 hours per week 9.10 am 3.40 pm)
Permanent Contract Term time only
We are a successful and caring Special School looking for the right person to provide welfare assistance to our lovely students ages 4 to 19.
This will include help with toileting for a range of needs and working with students who are developing continence as they progress in their personal independence skills. We value experience but full training will be given to applicants with the right attitude and cando approach who want to move into this line of work with a fantastic group of students who are incredibly rewarding to work with.
Other responsibilities include:
- Prepare and administer minor medications
- Assist students with daily personal tasks
- Be aware of students physical social emotional and medical care needs
We can offer:
- Training in e.g. supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) first aid administering medication manual handling etc.
