About Lukes Drug Mart
Familyrun. Familyfriendly. Lukes is Calgarys oldest independent pharmacy located in the heart of beautiful Bridgeland with an additional location in Killarney. The Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager and other Pharmacy Team Members you will be responsible for:
- Dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals to patients health care professionals and advise them on signs side effects adverse effects drug interactions and dosage.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all practices according to Federal and Provincial Law.
- Supervising Pharmacy technicians and assistants in those functions that are authorized by government and professional regulations.
- Being proactive in your conduct at work to improve the pharmacys productivity.
- Ensuring there is proper preparation packaging distribution and storage of vaccines serums biologicals and other pharmaceuticals.
- Ensuring there is proper disposal of medical waste and expired prescriptions.
- Willing to partake in external pharmacy support programs. FloF
- Ordering and maintaining stock of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Providing customer service that will promote the sale of merchandise in the pharmacy.
- To assist if required the Manager in preparing reports compiling statistics processing invoices and preparing annual budgets.
- Maintaining medication profile of patients.
- Providing information to customers on selection and use of nonprescription medication.
- Managing asset protection to prevent shrink.
Experience Skills & Qualifications
- Valid license to practice in Alberta.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- 12 years of dispensing experience.
- Experience with Kroll and Nexus are an asset.
- Excellent ability to make decisions and think independently.
- Proven ability to drive and build the business lead by example and build community relationships.
- Prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems a definite asset.
- Available for weekend shifts

Job Type: This is a parttime 1020 hours per week.
