Job Description
TITLE: TeacherWelding Career & Tech
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month
REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:Provide juniors and seniors with classroom instruction projectbased learning and handson skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the Welding industry.Prepare students for NOCTI Welding National Assessment
- Communicate with parents teachers home school counselors and others involved inthe education of the student
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites
- Monitor students academic progress including but not limited to progress/marking period grades attendance handson performance skills
- Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
- Keep current with changes and developments in thewelding industries
- Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Teaching and work experience as awelder preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for: NYS Welding 712 Certification
