Job Description

Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant opportunity in Nashville TN

Wonderful opportunity to join a Community hospital setting level 3 trauma with 560 fulltime employees. Medical services include OBGYN General Surgery Heart & Vascular Primary Care Urology Endocrinology Pulmonology Nephrology Gastroenterology Behavioral Health Hematology Oncology Cancer Center RheumatologyFoot and Ankle Orthopedics Neurology Interventional Radiology Otolaryngology and Outpatient Imaging.

About the Position:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history review and physical exams focusing on ENTrelated concerns.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of conditions related to the ear nose throat head and neck such as infections allergies hearing loss tinnitus voice disorders sinus problems and more.
  • Order interpret and follow up on diagnostic tests including audiometry CT scans MRIs and lab work as needed for ENT conditions.
  • Assist in the management and treatment of patients undergoing ENT procedures including pre and postoperative care.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend nonpharmacological therapies such as lifestyle modifications or referrals to specialists (e.g. audiologists speech therapists).
  • Perform minor ENT procedures such as ear wax removal nasal endoscopies and management of epistaxis (nosebleeds).
  • Educate patients and families on disease management prevention strategies and treatment options.
  • Collaborate closely with ENT surgeons and other healthcare providers to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education activities to stay current with advancements in ENT care.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) program.
  • Certification or Board Eligibility as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or AdultGerontology NP/ Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Experience in Otolaryngology (ENT) is preferred but candidates with relevant experience in primary care or internal medicine are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with a focus on ENTrelated conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patientcentered care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
