Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Request gather and analyze accounting and tax information for US consolidated federal income tax returns state & local income tax returns and a variety of annual reports.
- Communicate with business units and regulatory authorities to address and resolve questions.
- Assist in the calculation preparation coordination and timely filing of federal and state income tax returns estimated payments and extension payments.
- Assist in the resolution of federal and state audits and notices.
- Assist with tax research and analysis.
- Assist with calculation and analysis of tax depreciation for various subsidiaries.
- Participate in special projects and tax planning as needed.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to facilitate streamlining and automation for tax compliance reporting and planning.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by remaining current on existing and new tax regulations and communicate the impact of new tax developments.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree required accounting or related field.
- CPA or working towards CPA designation preferred.
- 14 years of tax compliance experience.
- Robust MS Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Selfstarter and team player.
- Effective communicator who can work well with individuals both horizontally and vertically within the company as well as with external parties.
- The desire to continually learn and develop as both an individual and employee.
