Position Summary
The Gannon University Physician Assistant Program in Erie PA has openings for adjunct faculty members to teach content in Physical Diagnosis III Lab. The candidate must have a Masters or Doctorate degree and teaching experience is preferred but not necessary. The course is a once weekly 3hour lab from 6:00pm9:00pm that allows students to practice history taking and physical exam skills with patients within hospital and assistedliving settings. The faculty member will oversee patient interactions case presentations grading of clinical notes and clinical skills testing. It begins on January 13 2025 and concludes on May 9 2025.
Physical Demands
The candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of a normal clinical office and classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
Requirements include an earned terminal degree (e.g. MS MPAS MSPAS MD/DO) current NCCPA certification (if applicable) or other appropriate board certification and relevant clinical experience; candidates are required to have or be eligible for PA MD or DO licensure in Pennsylvania. Additional requirements include effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills and the ability to be an effective team member. Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred.
