Job Description

Human Resource Manager

HR Manager is responsible for attracting/recruiting motivating and retaining the most qualified talent by directing the administrative functions of the HR department. The human resource manager will be called upon to handle employeerelated services regulatory compliance and employee relations among many other tasks. HR Manager makes recommendations to an organizations leadership based on analyses of worker productivity. The bulk of the role will involve regulatory and legal compliance employee orientations benefits administration compensation rewards and conflict resolution but there is great opportunity for developing and refining systems.

Objectives of this Role

  • Oversee refine and execute employee standards and procedures using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes
  • Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs including compensation health insurance expenses vacation and other personnel packages
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party vendors as it relates to benefits workers comp etc.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements conducting investigations and maintaining records
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures including team restructuring and morale

Responsibilities

  • Support departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business direction
  • Plan monitor and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees hearing and resolving employee grievances training managers to coach and discipline employees and counseling employees and supervisors
  • Champion the onboarding process ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing updating and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Build strong relationships with external suppliers fostering trust and promoting collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal compliance matter such as EEOC OSHA ADA FSLA COBRA FMLA
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion

These responsibilities involve achieving the following tasks:

  • Implementing and revising a companys compensation program
  • Creating and revising job descriptions
  • Conducting annual salary surveys
  • Developing analyzing and updating the companys salary budget
  • Developing analyzing and updating the companys evaluation program
  • Developing revising and recommending personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and revising the companys handbook on policies and procedures
  • Performing benefits administration
  • Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel including writing and placing job ads
  • Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
  • Overseeing exit interviews
  • Maintaining department records and reports
  • Participating in administrative staff meetings
  • Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
  • Recommending new policies approaches and procedures

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in human resources
  • 3 years in human resources or recruitment
  • Exceptional communication skills writing skills interpersonal skills and ethical mindset
  • Adept to problemsolving and conflict resolution
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
  • Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in HR
  • Detailoriented and organizational nature
  • Experience working with ADP software a plus
  • Understanding federal HR laws
