Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for multiple Assistant Professor positions in the nontenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Pediatric Interventional Radiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The applicant will be American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified with CAQ and completion of fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology is required. Fellowship training in pediatric radiology or demonstration of equivalent experience is a plus.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition the candidate will prepare learning materials and lectures teaching posters and presentations for national review.
Clinical responsibilities may include performing minimally invasive imageguided interventional procedures as well as performing and/overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians. The successful candidate will also participate in the Interventional Radiology offhours on call program including evening night and weekend coverage.
The Department of Radiology at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia consists of over 500 dedicated medical staff specializing in pediatric radiology. Our team provides clinical services across various divisions including Interventional Radiology Nuclear Medicine Neuroradiology and Body Imaging (with subspecialties in areas like musculoskeletal imaging emergency radiology and oncologic imaging). Annually our Diagnostic Radiology Department handles more than 250000 cases. We actively engage in cuttingedge research using technologies such as ContrastEnhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) 3T MR imaging PET/CT and Magnetoencephalography. Additionally our stateoftheart translational research building supports research across radiology modalities.
