FullTime Apartment Maintenance Technician**
Linden MI
FullTime
We are seeking a reliable and experienced FullTime Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of our residential apartment community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance a commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing electrical HVAC and carpentry work to ensure apartments and common areas are wellmaintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders submitted by residents ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Assist in preparing vacant units for new tenants including painting cleaning and repairing any damages.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed including materials used and time spent.
Collaborate with property management to implement preventative maintenance programs and improve overall property functions.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with local state and federal safety and building codes.
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and resolve any maintenancerelated issues professionally and courteously.
Participate in oncall rotation for afterhours emergency maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role preferably in residential properties.
Strong knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC systems and general building maintenance.
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed.
**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Capable of standing walking bending and climbing ladders for extended periods.
Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
