Job Description
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an allelectric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an allelectric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What youll do:
- Conduct development and verification for certifiable safety critical software components of the aircraft motor control system software
- Participate in the definition and documentation of streamlined software development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical software to comply with DO178C
- Work with systems engineers to decompose item requirements into highlevel and lowlevel software requirements in compliance with DO178C
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrate verify and certify complex hardware/software systems

What you need:
- 5 years of experience in a related field
- At least a BS in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or related degree
- Proficiency with C/C
- Experience with safety critical software development standards (DO178C ISO 26262 ASIL) to high criticality levels (DALA/B or ASIL C/D)
- Experience with Motor Control
- Handson experience through the Full Software Development Life Cycle (development through verification and certification/qualification)
- Experience developing software on baremetal systems
- Understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS422/485 CAN ARINC429 AFDX Ethernet TCP/IP SPI I2C PCIe etc)
- Familiarity with diverse tools and technologies used for the development testing and analysis
- Experience working on software motor control systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Experience with DO254
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with tools qualification (DO330
- Experience with modeling tools/certification (DO331
- Familiarity with modeling tools like UML or SysML
- Experience developing with RTOS
- Experience with board bring up and driver development

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
